Hamburg, Germany | April 8, 2014– Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic), a world leader in in-flight entertainment and communications (IFEC) systems, will deliver its industry-leading eX3 in-flight entertainment and communications solution to Air Canada for 37 wide body aircraft.
Under terms of the agreement, Panasonic will linefit install eX3 on Air Canada’s 37 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Deliveries commence with the airline’s first 787 aircraft in Spring 2014. Air Canada currently has five Boeing 777-300 aircraft equipped with Panasonic’s eX2 system.

With eX3, Air Canada’s passengers will be able to watch more than 600 hours of entertainment on larger, higher definition screens that are up to 18-inches in business class and enjoyhigher definition touch screens at every seat featuring an advanced intuitive interface that will be easy and pleasant to navigate.

Knutsford, Cheshire, UK | July 1, 2013– IFE Services, one of the world’s leading in-flight entertainment (IFE) providers, announced today that it was Iberia’s technical consultant for its Panasonic eX2 system.
IFE Services supported the Iberia team on system design, capacity, functionality, applications configuration and customisation for its Panasonic eX2 system with QT GUI.
Business Plus passengers can now enjoy new and intuitive entertainment options using 15.5” screens similar to those seen on tablet computers, plus 4.2” touch screen remotes with a virtual keyboard with which passengers can make telephone calls, send text messages and easily access the available content.
Major enhancements in economy have been introduced too with overhead screens being replaced with a highly advanced in-flight entertainment system for every passenger that includes individual 9” touch screens through which a wide selection of IFE content can be enjoyed. Every seat has a connection port for Apple devices and a USB port, whilst universal power sockets are also available.
The new eX2 system was successfully launched across Iberia’s fleet of A330 aircraft in February this year following a two year collaboration with IFE Services. By mid 2015 a total of 8 new A330s will join the fleet and 17 A340s will be retrofitted with the new IFE system and interiors.
Technical consultancy for this project was led by IFE Services’ Spanish team with support from the company’s technical teams in the USA and UK.
IFE Services has been Iberia’s IFE content service provider for two decades. As well as supplying Spain’s leading airline with movies, TV shows and audio, IFE Services meets all of its original production requirements.

LAKE FOREST, California – 01 May 2009 – Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic), the world leader in state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment and communication (IFEC) systems, today announced that Air Austral, La Réunion, France, has installed the eX2 in-flight entertainment system on two (2) Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The eX2-equipped aircraft will enter service this month.
Air Austral passengers will have a number of entertainment and communication options available at each seat with Panasonic’s eX2 IFEC system. For example, the eX2 system will provide passengers with access to applications such as audio and video on demand (AVOD), dynamic moving maps, games, and a variety of applications that generate ancillary revenue. With over 50 in-flight application options and services, several award-winning handsets, and high performance/high resolution displays, eX2 is an advance entertainment system that the airline can tailor to specific passenger requirements.
