Isle of Wight, UK | October 7, 2016– IFPL, the award-winning designer and manufacturer of global in-flight passenger interface solutions, enters the exciting fast-paced world of motor racing to promote its products and corporate identity in 2016.

IFPL sponsored the Mini Challenge Race Car driven by rising young British talent, the racing driver, Michael O’Brien, at a recent event at Oulton Park in Cheshire. The twenty-two year old has already achieved success with a string of race victories in Formula Ford racing and Formula 4. The Mini Challenge Race, was a successful debut with O-Brien finishing 5th in his first outing from a very competitive grid of over thirty similarly prepared cars.

Now progressing towards a career driving in the British Touring Car Championship, O’Brien and IFPL consider the Mini Challenge Race an exciting stepping-stone for strengthening brand exposure and experience in preparation for mounting a full championship challenge during the 2017 season.

O’Brien says; “This was my first Mini Challenge Race meeting, and the car is quite different to the single seaters that I have raced previously. But despite very unfavourable conditions, it went well – and I achieved my target of a top six finish first time out. IFPL’s support was invaluable and their branding looked great on the car.”

IFPL’s CEO, Geoff Underwood says, “This was a great opportunity for us to promote our brand in a dynamic manner via the highly competitive motor sport platform. Michael O’Brien is a top young British motor racing talent and he represented IFPL with great professionalism and commitment”.
