BBJ MAX 9 ordered by an undisclosed customer Deal marks the fifth BBJ MAX on firm order

Le Bourget, France | June 17, 2015– Boeing [NYSE:BA] Business Jets announced the sale of the first BBJ MAX 9 today at the Paris Airshow. The BBJ MAX 9 was ordered by an undisclosed European customer and previously booked on the Orders & Deliveries website.

“We are thrilled to announce that the BBJ MAX 9 program is officially launched with our first BBJ MAX 9 order,” said Boeing Business Jets President David Longridge. “While maintaining the unmatched cabin comfort of today’s BBJ, the BBJ MAX’s lower fuel use, increased range capability, updated flight deck, lower noise and reduced emissions enable the airplane to better meet the diverse needs of our VIP customers.”

The BBJ MAX 9 sale marks the fifth BBJ MAX order. Boeing has previously booked four orders for the BBJ MAX 8 model.

Boeing Business Jets offers a wide variety of ultra-large-cabin, long range airplanes perfectly suited for the private jet market. The product line includes the BBJ and BBJ MAX family as well as Boeing widebody airplanes including the BBJ 787, 777, and 747-8.

Once firm, order will mark over 400 A320neo sold in Latin America

France | June 17, 2015– Synergy Aerospace Corporation, Avianca’s largest shareholder and owner of Avianca Brasil, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 62 A320neo Family aircraft. The agreement paves the way for Avianca Brasil to base its fleet renewal and network growth strategy on the A320neo Family.

“These 62 A320neo aircraft will make it possible for Avianca Brasil to take an important leap toward growing and modernizing its fleet, while improving passenger experience,” said German Efromovich, Chairman of Synergy. “Thanks to their excellent eco-efficiency, reliability and comfort, the A320neo Family will allow Synergy to strengthen its position in Latin America by offering Avianca Brasil passengers the best single aisle product available.”

Synergy has ordered 10 A350 XWBs, six A330-200 passenger, one A330-200 Freighter and 20 A320 Family aircraft. Avianca Brasil operates 38 A320 Family and one A330 Freighter aircraft.

The A320 Family is the world’s best-selling single aisle product line with more than 11,700 orders to date and over 6,500 aircraft delivered to 400 customers and operators worldwide. The newest member of the A320 Family, the A320neo, incorporates many innovations including latest generation engines and Sharklet wing tip devices, which together deliver more than 15 percent in fuel savings from day one and 20 percent by 2020. With more than 3,800 orders received from 72 customers since its launch in 2010, the A320neo Family has captured almost 60 percent share of the market.

Once the order is firm, Airbus will have sold 407 A320neo aircraft to seven customers in Latin America — Avianca, Azul, Interjet, LATAM, Synergy, VivaAerobus and Volaris. With more than 950 aircraft sold and a backlog of almost 500, nearly 600 Airbus aircraft are in operation throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. In the past 10 years, Airbus has tripled its in-service fleet while delivering more than 60 percent of all aircraft operating in the region. In May, Airbus celebrated its 500th aircraft delivery in Latin America.

Single largest A321 order

France | June 18, 2015– Wizz Air, the largest low cost carrier serving Eastern and Central Europe, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the biggest single order for the popular A321neo aircraft. The deal signed at the 51st Le Bourget International Paris Air Show pushes NEO orders and commitments beyond 4,000. Significantly the order includes the latest A321neo Airbus Cabin Flex configuration with 239 seats in 18 inch comfort standard.

Currently Wizz Air operates 61 aircraft on one of Central and Eastern Europe’s most extensive networks with over 380 routes from 22 bases.

Market endorses Airbus’ most innovative products & services

France | June 18, 2015– During the 2015 Paris Air Show, Airbus won $57 billion worth of business for a total of 421 aircraft. The deals comprise firm orders for 124 aircraft worth $16.3 billion and commitments for 297 aircraft worth $40.7 billion.

In the widebody market, Airbus kicked-off the show with the announcement of the first operator for the new A330 Regional, with Saudi Arabian Airlines taking 20 on lease from IAFC, a leading lessor in the Middle East. The A330 Regional will enable airlines to serve fast-growing domestic and regional routes at least cost and maximum efficiency.

The A350 XWB continues to attract new business with commitments for 31 A350-900s, reinforcing its leading position as the world’s most modern, advanced widebody aircraft.

Airbus’ most modern, comfortable, efficient and reliable range of wide body aircraft won 55 orders & commitments worth USD 15.6 billion, comprising 31 A350-900s, 20 A330 Regional and four A330-300s.

In the single-aisle sector, the market leading A320 Family garnered an impressive 366 endorsements (comprising 103 firm orders and 263 commitments) worth USD 41.4 billion. Of these, 323 are NEO’s, taking total orders and commitments for the A320neo Family beyond 4,000 since launch in December 2010.

Boosting the longevity of the best-selling A320 Family, Airbus announced a new freighter conversion programme in partnership with EFW and ST Aerospace. This broadens Airbus’ portfolio of innovative solutions, meeting the requirements of customers in all market segments.
