Long Beach, CA | September 19, 2017–

In just one weeks’ time, over 3,000 visitors, 300 executive VIPs and 90 exhibiting companies will descend on the Long Beach Convention Centre for the three-day Aircraft Interiors Expo Long Beach (AIX).

Earlier this year, this leading fall event for the aerospace industry announced a long-term strategic co-location agreement with the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) in co-ordination with the International Flight Services Association (IFSA). Together, the co-located shows, which take place on one level in one location, will host over 500 exhibitors forming the largest passenger experience event in the fall and a must-attend event in the aviation industry calendar.

For the first time in 2017, AIX Long Beach will be a Smart Event. The innovative Smart Event technology, designed by Konduko, will enable AIX visitors to use their smart badge to easily collect information from exhibitor stands in one simple tap. At the end of each day, visitors will receive information from all the exhibitor stands they visited in one handy email, removing the need to carry paper brochures, catalogues and flyers. For exhibitors, the system acts as a virtual business card which drives lead generation and content distribution, enhancing the show experience and driving business value.

The innovations being showcased by exhibiting companies this year include the Avipeo social network for the aviation community, LIFT’s production-ready Tourist Class seat, Mirus’ next-generation economy class Hawk seating platform, Optimares’ brand-new premium lay-flat Maxima seat model and SkyPaxxx’s modular ready to install carpet Sky-Tiles.

AIX will feature the Airline Club Lounge (booth 2019) which is exclusively reserved for the 300 executives who will attend the show from 100 major carriers including American Airlines, British Airways, Etihad Airways and Singapore Airlines. The complimentary Airline Club Lounge will provide a space for these executives to relax, work or network away from the show floor.

Verity Newton, Exhibition Manager at Reed Exhibitions, said: “AIX takes place against a backdrop of continued success for the aviation industry. The aircraft interiors market is set to be worth almost $30 billion by 2021, and is growing at 7% annually.

“Our co-location with APEX and IFSA is proving to be a great success, and we are confident that the show will be a fantastic experience for all our attendees, VIPs and exhibiting companies from around the world.”

The Aircraft Interiors Expo Long Beach takes place from 26th – 28th September 2017. More information can be found here.
